Our team is experienced in adjudication, arbitration, mediation and litigation. Flexibility and commerciality are our guiding principles in resolving any dispute. To us, strategy is as important as the law, and a handshake is better than a court action. We pride ourselves on giving clear and concise advice. We won’t sit on the fence, because we believe that one page of clear recommendations is better than five pages of options.

We actively promote and conduct mediations, and we encourage alternative forms of dispute resolution such as expert determination. Mark Finlay is a CEDR accredited mediator. We have conducted many adjudications, and three of our team have acted as adjudicator’s clerk. We have extensive experience of raising and defending construction-related court actions at Sheriff Court and Court of Session level. We successfully defended an employer client in one of the first arbitrations brought under the new Scottish construction Arbitration Code. We also have a significant practice in professional indemnity related claims.
