Rachel has specialised in corporate recovery and insolvency law for nearly 20 years.

She is accredited by the Law Society of Scotland as a specialist in insolvency law. She is recognised as a leader in her field in Legal 500 and Chambers with clients and lawyers commenting on her "wealth of knowledge and pragmatic advice."

Rachel advises on all aspects of insolvency (corporate and personal) and has particular expertise in relation to director's duties and disqualification. She was the first solicitor in Scotland to act for the Insolvency Service conducting direct disqualification cases and is a recognised expert in this area. She acts for a wide range of clients including, insolvency practitioners, government departments, banks and businesses of all sizes as well as individual clients.

Rachel is Chair of R3 Scottish Technical Committee and sits on the Law Society Insolvency Committee and Accreditation Panel.

Rachel is also an accredited mediator and has conducted several mediations. She is a ranked individual for Restructuring and Insolvency in Chambers & Partners.
