Andrew was formerly a partner at Addleshaw Goddard in London and is recognised particularly for his expertise on large technology projects for banks and financial institutions, principally in the fields of technology transactions and IT and BPO outsourcing.

He has been involved in a number of ground breaking outsourcing deals for clients involved in the Financial Services Sector. He was involved in one of the first Procurement outsourcing deals in the UK valued at £6 billion and a number of the first middle office fund management outsourcing deals in the UK involving assets in scope valued at over £120 billion.

Andrew has been involved in Technology Law since 1986 and is a renowned specialist. He is the author of several chapters in various technology publications and is a regular speaker at industry conferences. His articles in the Journal of International Banking Law on outsourcing issues have attracted significant interest in the investment banking sector and he has been viewed as a thought leader in the field for many years.

He has increasingly been involved in offshore outsourcing projects for a number of financial services companies and he has also been consulted by various Governments including the UK Cabinet Office, the Argentinian Government and he helped to draft technology legislation for the Government of the Cayman Islands.

Furthermore, Andrew's expertise has seen him gain significant recognition across both the legal and outsourcing industries. He is rated as a notable practitioner for Outsourcing by Chambers & Partners. In 2008 he was identified as one of The Lawyer Magazine's 'Hot 100' UK legal sector practitioners. In 2009, Andrew was named 'Outsourcing Professional of the Year' at the UK's National Outsourcing Association (NOA) awards in London. Most recently, Andrew's outsourcing team at Brodies has been short-listed as Technology, Media and Telecomms Team of the Year at The Lawyer Awards 2010.
