Alan specialises in Professional Negligence, Construction, Commercial and Personal Injury disputes on behalf of Corporate, Partnership and Insurer clients. He has over 20 years experience of handling claims against engineers, surveyors, solicitors and construction industry contractors, as well as occupational disease claims for employers, and accidents resulting in injuries of utmost severity.
Alan has a special interest in mediation and ADR in all his areas of specialism and is a member of the Forum of Insurance Lawyers (FOIL) and the Scottish member with responsibility for reporting on professional indemnity matters.
He also has a keen eye for knowing when litigation is in a client's best interests and when they should steer well clear of the often choppy waters of the adversarial process.
Alan is a recognised individual for Professional Negligence by Chambers & Partners.
